I saw on pinterest a while back this idea of using food containers like rotisserie chicken plastic bins to grow stuff in. I’m all about reusing, recycling, upcycling, etc. and we occasionally buy these so I put a mental minder on to try it out. saved two bins, filled them with soil and sowed lettuce seeds on March 5th. This pic is from March 9th! took just four days to pop and grow. I’ll keep updating and experimenting with it. I have two of these going so far so I think one I will air out and water in a few days, the other I’ll keep the lid on for a few weeks to see happens.
